Nenaco concludes CBA with union

Negros Navigation Co. Inc. (Nenaco), the shipping subsidiary of Metro Pacific Corp. (MPC) announced yesterday that they have successfully and amicably completed a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with the Iloilo-Negros Labor Union (INELU) for the period ending on March 31, 2004.
The CBA negotiations between Nenaco management and its union officials were successfully completed ahead of scheduled.
The current CBA includes all employees and ensures amicable relations with the labor union for the foreseeable future.
"I am pleased that the INELU and Nenaco has been able to reach an agreement in the shortest time possible and in the friendliest terms. The agreement underscores the ongoing partnership between Nenaco and INELU which is expected to be sustained in the years to come," said Conrado Carballo, Nenaco president and general manager.
