-
Veteran journalist Tony Lopez and a group of powerful investors here and abroad have put up BizNewsAsia weekly business and political newsmagazine. Lopez said the newsmagazine is pro-business, pro-economy, and pro-Philippines.

According to him, he has assembled for BizNewsAsia a team of editors and writers with combined business journalism experience of more than 100 years. His marketing group includes professionals who helped make Asiaweek the fastest-growing and largest international newsmagazine in the Philippines with 30,000 subscribers.

Lopez was Asiaweek’s senior correspondent for 25 years. His coverage put the Philippines on the world map, propelled the vigorous growth of Asiaweek and won for him various awards, including the TOYM, Outstanding Manilan, Rotary Club of Manila awards for distinguished international journalism.

As its group publisher and editorial director, he turned around The Graphic, making it credible, hard-hitting and for the first time in 12 years, profitable with unprecedented growth in circulation, news stand and advertising revenues.

With his Asiaweek and Graphic experience and magazine publishing technology, Lopez promised to make BizNewsAsia the largest weekly news magazine in the Philippines and a publishing sensation in the region.
