Citibank unveils new generation of e-Business solutions

Celebrating its 100th year in the Philippine, Citibank, N.A. recently unveiled a new generation of e-Business solutions designed to take customers’ businesses into the next millennium at a Cash and Trade Management Conference and Cyber Mardi Gras held at the Edsa Shangri-La.

Citibank’s conference "Staying on Top", was the first of its kind in Manila. It featured six different sessions that focused on critical financial issues many Philippine companies currently face. Participants had the option to attend talks by guest speakers from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Department of Trade and Industry, as well as from Citibank’s customers, and regional and Manila offices. Speakers shared their views and insights on the e-commerce law, upcoming changes in the payment systems, and best practices and global trends in cash and trade management.

The conference was organized as a special Centennial offering to Citibank’s customers. Remo Vignali, Citibank’s e-Business Head said that with businesses today facing tremendous opportunities and challenges, there is a pressing need for banks to be more than just transactors. "At Citibank, we see ourselves as our customers’ business partners. Beyond providing our customers with innovative financial services, we also offer them expert advice to help managers evaluate their options and improve efficiencies," he said.

Participants were also given the opportunity to learn more about Citibank’s revolutionary e-Business solutions for e-payments, accounts receivable management, and internet banking for corporate customers.

To give the guests a better feel of the cutting-edge technology and innovation that Citibank stands for, the seminar was capped with a Centennial Cyber, Mardi Gras, complete with multimedia presentations, jugglers, men on stilts, mimes and other cyber performers.

The colorful Cyber Mardi Gras set the stage for the launch for Citibank’s innovative e-Business products-Speedcollect, PayLink, e-Billing, CitiConnect, CitiDirect Online Banking and Trade Services.

Speedcollect, Citibank’s accounts receivables solution accelerates funds collection and payment reporting through nationwide door to door collections, comprehensive invoice level reporting, and customized, end-to-end solutions for companies in every industry.

PayLink, on the other hand, is a flexible payment solution that offers a range of payment options and reporting. E-Billing allows the user to connect directly with their clients and enjoy the convenience and control of customized invoice presentment.

Also launched was CitiConnect, a product that makes e-commerce so much easier. CitiConnect expands a company’s sales reach, transforming its website into a reliable point of sale vehicle. Citibank’s internet payment gateway offers a convenient choice of payment options for online order settlement.

Other products launched included CitiDirect Online Banking is Citibank’s secure internet banking platform, and Citibank’s trade services.
