US broker offers New York condo units to Pinoy buyers

- Marianne V. Go -
A US-based real estate broker offered yesterday an investment opportunity to own a condominium unit in New York City.

Jerry Namero, senior partner of Impact International formally introduced One Central Park condominium located at the former site of the New York Coliseum at the convergence of Central Park West, Central Park South, Broadway, Columbus Circle, West 58th, 59th and 60th.

The landmark project is the luxury residential component of the AOL Timer Warner Center– a $1.7-billion project occupying a sprawling 1.37-hectare lots in New York City.

The center integrates the exclusive One Central Park condominium, the luxurious Mandarin Oriental Hotel, world-class shopping and fine dining shops and global headquarters of AOL Time Warner.

Namero said there are 191 residential units starting from the 52nd floor up to the 80th floor of the two 80-storey crystalline towers of AOL Timer Warner Center.

Construction, which began last year, is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2003.

According to Namero, 40 percent of the South Tower has already been sold, while 30 percent of the North Tower has likewise been gobbled up.

"One Central Park is for investors who want to diversify their portfolio and is not for a person who is worried economically. This is for the man or woman who can afford it," Namero said.

Namero disclosed that several Filipino investors had previously purchased units in another condominium development he had offered. He would not name names though.
