Granny Goose, the snack with the crunch and flavor every Filipino loves, is now satisfying more taste buds in Taiwan, according to General Milling Corp. (GMC), makers of Granny Goose corn snacks.
Ric M. Pinca, GMC director for corporate affairs, said exports began in November last year with an initial shipment of 14,000 cases of Granny Goose Tortillos. Another order for 8,000 cases of Granny Goose Kornets will reach Taiwan this month. GMC also plans to export Granny Goose to Thailand while expanding distribution efforts to other Asian countries.
Pinca said the President Chain Store Corp. (PCSC) of Taiwan saw Granny Gooses potential in the international snack food scene. PCSC is Taiwans largest chain store company and owner of the 7-Eleven franchise in Asia. Its unique and exciting flavor and attractive packaging gave Granny Goose corn snacks deserving orders from PCSC.
GMC, one of the countrys biggest integrated food companies, also produces flour, feeds, pasta products and soybean meal and oils. Aside from Granny Goose Tortillos and Kornets, GMC also takes pride in Granny Goose Blast, the corn chip with an extraordinary shape and explosive taste.
