RP gets outsourcing contracts from US firms

The Philippines is already experiencing a windfall in terms of outsourcing contracts following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the US.
At least six memorandums of agreement (MOA) have already been signed in the course of President Arroyos official visit to the US.
The MOAs signed were: 1. Customer Contact Center, Inc. (C3) and Source Once Communications; 2. Immequire and Tele Response Center, Inc.; 3. ePLDT, Inc. and Echostar Communications Corp.; 4. EPLDT, Inc. and TeleTech Holdings, Inc.; 5. Corporate Information Solutions and Information Builders; and 6. ICCP Venture Parnters, Inc. and Ambergris Solutions, Inc.
Customer Contact Center, Inc. is a business-to-business organization which provides total call center solutions.
It is one of the largest call center operators in the Philippines with a network of more than 500 seats in muliple locations, mainly in Manila, Cebu and San Francisco, California.
Source Once Communications is a leading provider of customer service and data base management services worldwide, with headquarter in New Jersey.
The company offers a global network of contact centers that deliver top quality customer service by blending America-based account management with educated staffing.
The MOA will form a new company called Source One Asia, Inc. that operates out of Manila to provide outsourced contact center service, to include customer care, help desk, technical support and consumer affairs.
Immequire is a provider of 24 x 7 contact center and customer support services. It provides the full suite of contact center services, including Internet-based live chat, web collaboration, e-mail, web forums, voiceover IP, and customer relations management software.
Tele Response Center or TRC has developed and implemented successful program for highly respected charities and non-profit organizations nationally, regionally and locally.
The joint venture agreement would provide charity (non-profit) solicitation calls on behalf of Tele Response Center Inc. These call will be for new donor acquisition.
EPLDT is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PLDT. Its portfolio is focused on providing the enabling infrastructure necessary for the sustainable growth of information and communications technology (ICT) in the Philippines.
Echostar Communications Corp. has been in the business for over 20 years providing direct broadcast satellite (DBS) television products and services through its DISH network to over six million customers.
The joint venture between ePLDT and Echostar would result in ePLDT providing Echostar with call center services outside the US.
The other joint venture of ePLDT with TeleTech would also provide call center services.
