Shell supports development efforts of Mindoro

Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. (PSFI) supported the sustainable development efforts in Oriental Mindoro by providing grants for income-generating ventures such as farming, hog raising, aqua-culture, buy and sell, and garment making for the provinces rural communities.
The grants were channelled through non-government organization (NGOs), among them the Balatasan Fishermen Association, Inc., Buklod-Diwa Development Foundation, Inc., Center for Mindoro Integrated Development Foundation, Inc., Kaunsayan Formation for Community Development Foundation, Inc., Mindoro Economic Development Foundation, Inc., Mindoro Kabuhayan Foundation, Inc., and the Samahang Pangkababaihan ng Resettlement Area.
PSFI executive director Facundo Roco led the awarding of project funds to NGOs recently at Barrio Santo Niño in Calapan City. Roco engaged all NGOs to work for the success of the Oriental Mindoro sustainable development program.
The Oriental Mindoro sustainable development program is a joint project of SPEX, PSFI, and the provincial government of Oriental Mindoro.
