StanChart execs to launch Cebu priority banking

-
Standard Chartered Bank Philippines chief executive Annemarie Durbin and Fred Saarloos, global head of Distribution and Priority Banking based in Singapore, lead a distinguished lineup of guests at the inauguration of the Priority Banking Center in the bank’s Cebu City branch today.

Principal sponsors include former Cebu governor and Promdi founder Emilio Osmeña, Britta Quisumbing, Margaret Ang, Jean Teresita Sy, Quintin and Encarnacion Calagos, Eduardo Alegrado and Royston and Elisa Bruce.

Highlights of the inauguration are the blessing of the Priority Banking Center officiated by Fr. Ernesto Javier, SJ, and cocktails at the ballroom of Cebu City Marriot Hotel.

The formal inauguration of the Priority Banking Center is a major milestone in the bank’s operations for more than 128 years in the country. A value-added program for a specially-targeted market, Priority Banking aims to address the need for personalized service and customized solutions to suit the market’s financial portfolios and unique banking needs.

"We are proud to launch the Priority Banking Center in Cebu as proof of our confidence in the dynamic market in the Southern Philippines, and in the staunch support and loyalty of our customers. This is also a concrete proof of confidence and continued investment in the Philippines by Standard Chartered. We are working ceaselessly to maintain our position as the Number One bank of choice in the emerging markets," Durbin said.
