We intend to wire up every diocese, parish house and parochial school in the country. Likewise, in partnership with private companies, we are also setting up Internet cafes around the country to give the nation’s urban poor access to the Internet," CBCPNet chief executive officer Eman Lim said.
Under the agreement, PLDT will provide a DS3 (45 Mbps) IPL link to CBCPNet which they will use as an Internet connection to MCI UUNet in California.
PLDT is the principal supplier of domestic and international telecommunications services in the Philippines with more than 5.7 million customers. It is also the country‘s leading communications provider for high-end, broadband data services.
CBCPNet is an internet service provider that offers Internet access to many regions of the country through Internet prepaid cards. – Mary Ann Reyes
