Petnet Inc., the fast-rising money transfer company and authorized direct agent of Western Union Financial Services International, a 150-year-old global leader in money transfer service, has forged a partnership with the Bank of the Philippines Islands (BPI).
"The partnership is expected to enhance the already enviable service of Petnet, which currently maintains a total of 2,000 strategically placed Western Union agent locations nationwide, making it the largest private Western Union agent in the Philippines, as well as in Asia," according to Adrian Ocampo, Petnet chairman and CEO.
Western Union has 96,000 locations in 186 countries, which enables quick and easy money transfer to any corner of the globe. Following Western Union’s trademark service to speed, reliability, convenience, trust and value, Petnet has emerged as a leader in the country’s money remittance industry.
Testaments to its meteoric rise are the awards it received, namely the "Best in Network Growth Award" and the "Commercial Services Leadership Award," during the recent Western Union international agent meeting held in Cannes, France attended by Petnet president Anthony Lehmann.
The three-year-old company has made an impact in the industry by its tie-ups with established banks and financial institutions around the country to provide convenience to Western Union clients. In Petnet’s effort to make even more Filipinos avail themselves of the various services offered by Western Union, Petnet has tapped the capabilities of BPI.
