Smart Reader bares franchising scheme

Smart Reader, the English reading and tutorial program of Smart Reader Worldwide with main business offices in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is now in the Philippines and available on franchising concept.

A source at Smart Reader Phils., local subsidiary of SRW, said the program came about as a result of globalization where English is the universal language. With the trend of globalization, nations like China, Japan, Korea and Vietnam and other non-English speaking countries are bracing themselves to bring the English language into their curriculum, specially to the young.

The franchise concept covers the setting up of home-based tutorial classrooms, standard desks and chairs, books and worksheets, uniform and bags. A home-based tutorial center needs only an area of 14 sq. meters. The scheme is available in either area or unit franchise.

The same SRP source also said Smart Reader is a complete and systematic program teaching children not just to read but read well and learn the skills of communication as they grow. It is a product of extensive research in the US, England, Australia and Europe.
