Special turnaround flights between Manila and Hong Kong will be mounted on the following dates: an early morning flight (PR 340/PR 341) on Jan. 24, and an early evening flight (PR 350/PR 351) on Jan. 27, 28 and 29.
For the Cebu-Hong Kong vice-versa sector, a late evening flight is scheduled on Jan. 27 and 28 (PR 366/PR 367).
These flights are on top of the regular published services among the three points. The flag carrier flies five times daily between Manila and Hong Kong, and four times weekly between Cebu and Hong Kong.
In addition, PAL will operate a number of flights with special routings:
Manila-Hong Kong-Cebu, with onward connections to Manila, at various times on Jan. 22, 23, 24 and 25.
Manila-Cebu-Hong-Manila at various times on Jan. 27, 28 and 29.
For the Manila-Taipei sector, PAL will add a second daily frequency on Jan. 20, 21 and 28 (PR 898/PR 899), as well as a third service (PR 892/PR 893) on Jan. 28.
Either widebody Airbus 330-300 or narrow-bodied Boeing 737-400 and Airbus 320-200 aircraft will be utilized on these extra flights.
The period preceding and following Lunar New Years Day, which this year falls on Jan. 24, is one of the busiest time in the travel calendar.
It is a particularly special occasion for Chinese, who traditionally mark the holidays by vacationing in neighboring countries.
