Management of BF Life, BF General solidified

To start the new millennium right, the board of directors of BF Life Insurance Corp. and BF General Insurance Co. announced last Dec. 28, 1999 the appointment of Joseph C. Velhagen as their new president and chief executive officer.

Prior to this, Velhagen was executive vice president and chief operating officer of both companies. With his fresh, dynamic approach and vast know-how in heading various companies, Velhagen is expected to make groundbreaking waves in the coming years.

Similarly, BF Life's board announced the promotion of Claro D. Santos to replace Velhagen as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

A known figure in the life insurance industry, Santos' more than three decades of experience in life insurance operations and skills in handling both individual and corporate accounts, has significantly aided in making BF Life one of the top 10 life insurance companies in the country today.

Teamed up with Velhagen, and senior officers Rosemarie H. Larano, Rolando B. San Diego, and Richard J.P. Cavosora, BF Life is ready to face the new millennium head on, with the goal of keeping BF Life among the top 10 Life Insurance Companies in the years to come.

As with Velhagen, BF General also announced the promotion of Rafael K. del Villar as vice president for Sales and Marketing. With his resourcefulness and vigor, del Villar is tasked with marketing BF Gen. full-blast with the aid and experience of senior officers Dominga G. Garcia, and Loreto M. dela Cruz.
