Comelec, tech firm sign BARMM poll monitoring system partnership

MANILA, Philippines — A partnership for the establishment of a system for monitoring and managing technical and operational issues pertaining to the parliamentary election in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)  has been signed between the Commission on Elections and a technical company.

The Comelec and Dynamic Outsource Solutions Inc. (DOS-1) signed on Monday a memorandum of agreement for the development of the Reporting and Issues Management System.

The RIMS will serve as a centralized platform for receiving and documenting technical and operational reports, and election-related concerns that may arise during the voting process.

The system is intended to facilitate timely resolution of election-related issues, and improve coordination in assisting the electoral process.

The DOS-1 provided the National Technical Support Center during the 2022 and 2025 national and local elections.

The agreement was signed by Comelec Chairman George Garcia and executive director Teopisto Elnas Jr. as well as by DOS-1 representatives Lucia Jane Lina and Edgardo Cayton.

The partnership is part of the Comelec’s preparations for the conduct of the first parliamentary election in the BARMM on Sept. 14.
