Man held for stealing P28,836 worth of diesel

MANILA, Philippines — A man was arrested after he allegedly stole diesel amounting to P28,836 in Quezon City on Sunday, police reported yesterday.
The 32-year-old suspect is facing charges of theft before the city prosecutor’s office after he was caught siphoning diesel from a vehicle parked at a fuel station along Dahlia Avenue in Barangay Greater Fairview.
Quezon City Police District director Brig. Gen. Christopher Olazo said QCPD officers apprehended the suspect following the complaint of the vehicle’s driver.
Eighteen liters of fuel stored in two containers were recovered from the suspect.
Police said the suspect had been arrested in November 2024 for illegal gambling.
