MANILA, Philippines — The Payments Network of the Philippines Inc. (PNPI) – the surviving corporation integrating the operations of BancNet Inc. and the Philippine Clearing House Corp. (PCHC) – has elected its board of directors and new sets of officers for the 2026–2027 term

BDO president and CEO Nestor Tan and Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. president Fabian Dee were unanimously elected as chairman and president, respectively.

Reginaldo Anthony Cariaso, president and CEO of Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) was elected as the group’s treasurer.

Also elected to the 15-member board during a special stockholders’ meeting at Makati Shangri-La on July 30 were Philippine National Bank head of operations group Reynaldo Burgos, Land Bank of the Philippines first vice president Grace Ofelia Lovely Dayo, Development Bank of the Philippines president Michael de Jesus, UnionBank president and CEO Ana Maria Delgado, Security Bank president and CEO Meng Teck Victor Lee, Bank of the Philippine Islands chief technology officer Alexander Seminiano and Chinabank chief digital officer Manuel Tagaza.

Benjamin Castillo, Pedro Florescio III, Criselda Santillan, Jose Rene Villa-Real and Aristeo Zafra Jr. were elected as independent directors.

In the same meeting, Elmarie Reyes was appointed as CEO, Emmanuel Barcena as COO for PCH Operations, Agnes Maranan as corporate secretary and Maricelle Austria as head of human resources and administration.

Also appointed were Linley Julian, head of Technology and Communications Management for PCH Operations; Jennie Lansang, chief information officer; Arnel Lim, chief audit executive; Myra Privado, head of Software Testing and Certification; Mabelyn Tagasa, deputy chief information officer; Roel Dennis Tan, chief risk and compliance officer; Roseanne Tan, head of Business and Relationship Management and Jonalyn Villasin, head of Finance and Accounting.

Effective June 1, BancNet officially adopted PNPI as its new corporate name. BancNet shall be retained as a brand for PNPI’s ATM Network while “PCHC” shall be retained for check clearing operations.

This came after the historic approval of their merger by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, the Philippine Competition Commission, and Securities and Exchange Commission.

PNPI now operates InstaPay and PESOnet, both designated by the BSP as Prominently Important Payment Systems, and Payment vs Payment (PvP) and Philippine Domestic Dollar Transfer System (PDDTS), both BSP- designated as Systematically Important Payment Systems. Other equally significant electronic payment services such as the ATM, Point-of-Sale, check clearing, and direct debit, as well as other electronic payment facilities have also been integrated under one payment network.
