PRO-7 names top performing police units for July

CEBU, Philippines — The Police Regional Office (PRO)-7 has recognized seven best-performing units for July, citing their accomplishments in police operations, crime prevention, and other mandated functions.

The monthly recognition, spearheaded by PRO-7 Regional Director Police Brigadier General Arnold E. Abad, aims to acknowledge units that have demonstrated exemplary performance in different categories while boosting personnel morale and encouraging continuous improvement in police service.

Named the Best Police Provincial Office was the Cebu Police Provincial Office, while the Lapu-Lapu City

Police Office was recognized as the Best City Police Office.

The Talisay City Police Station was named Best Component City Police Station, while the Consolacion Municipal Police Station, San Francisco Municipal Police Station, and Calape Municipal Police Station were recognized as the Best Municipal Police Stations for Class A, Class B, and Class C, respectively.

The Waterfront Police Station 3 of the Cebu City Police Office was also named the Best City Police Station.

In a statement, PRO-7 said the units were evaluated through established performance parameters, including operational accomplishments, crime prevention and crime solution efforts, fulfillment of mandated functions, and other indicators measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and responsiveness of police service.

Abad, for his part, commended the recognized units for their dedication, professionalism, and consistent efforts in carrying out their duties.

He said the recognition serves not only as an award but also as a way of acknowledging the hard work and sacrifices of police personnel whose accomplishments contribute to the safety and well-being of the communities they serve.

The regional director also emphasized the role of recognizing good performance in improving personnel morale and organizational performance, saying it makes police officers feel valued while motivating them to sustain their accomplishments.

PRO-7 said the initiative also encourages other police units to improve their performance and promotes healthy competition while strengthening a results-oriented culture within the regional police office.

The monthly recognition forms part of PRO-7’s effort to promote professional growth, personnel welfare, and motivation as it seeks to build a more committed, capable, and responsive police force.

The recognition also anchors the five-focused agenda of Chief of the Philippine National Police Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. and the PNP’s call for a “Bagong PNP Para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”

PRO-7 said it will continue the monthly recognition and other initiatives aimed at strengthening police personnel and improving service delivery to communities across Central Visayas. — (FREEMAN)
