DOH warns public vs fake P30,000 medical subsidy

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) has warned the public against fake links, websites and social media pages falsely claiming to offer P30,000 in medical assistance.

The fraudulent posts are spreading misinformation, the DOH said.

The DOH urged the public not to click, fill out or share links, particularly those requesting personal information, bank details or other sensitive data.

The agency said legitimate medical assistance may be accessed through DOH hospitals and accredited health facilities, as well as by applying online through the electronic Medical Assistance for Indigent Patients or eMAIFIP service on the eGovPH Super App.

The DOH clarified that official programs, medical assistance and announcements are released only through its official Facebook page and other verified social media platforms.

The public should remain vigilant and verify information before responding to or sharing suspicious online posts, the DOH said.

“Do not immediately believe suspicious posts online,” the DOH said.
