CCCI rolls out budget membership for micro-enterprises

CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) has introduced a Micro Enterprise Membership Program offering small business owners a lower-cost entry into the chamber as it seeks to broaden support for micro entrepreneurs that play a key role in Cebu’s economy.

The new membership carries an introductory annual fee of P3,360, giving qualified micro enterprises access to CCCI’s business network, training programs, industry events and market opportunities aimed at helping them expand their operations.

The initiative is part of the chamber’s push to make its services more accessible to smaller businesses, which often face limited access to business networks, skills development and potential partnerships despite accounting for a significant share of local economic activity.

“Micro enterprises are an important part of Cebu’s business ecosystem,” said Hermie Go, CCCI vice president for chamber growth. “Through this new membership offering, CCCI aims to create more opportunities for micro entrepreneurs to connect, learn and access resources that can help strengthen and grow their businesses.”

Members will gain access to seminars and workshops covering entrepreneurship, marketing, finance and digital transformation, while also receiving opportunities to promote their products and services through chamber activities and connect with suppliers, customers and industry leaders.

The program also gives entrepreneurs access to updates on business trends, government policies and investment opportunities that may support business planning and expansion.

To qualify, applicants must have business assets of P3 million or below, be registered with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) or the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and hold a valid business permit and Bureau of Internal Revenue Certificate of Registration (Form 2303).

CCCI, which has served Cebu’s business community for more than 120 years, said the initiative is part the Chamber’s efforts to strengthen support for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which remain a major source of employment, innovation and economic growth in the Philippines.
