MANILA, Philippines — Huling testigo na ng prosecution panel si National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Melvin Matibag kaugnay ng grave threats laban sa buhay ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Inihayag ito ni lead prosecutor Batangas Rep. Gerville Bitrics Luistro kasabay ng anunsiyo na wini-withdraw na ng prosecution ang pagtestigo ng anim pang witness.

Kabilang dito ang kinatawan ng PNP Firearms and Explosives Office, mga reporter na sina Mikhail Flores ng FOCAP­ at Bons Magsambol, Sheriff Abe Andres, miyembro ng pamilya ng isa sa mga binantaan at isang psychiatrist.

Nitong Martes ay inalis na rin sa listahan ng mga testigo sina Atty. Zuleika Lopez, dating Chief of Staff ni VP Duterte at House Legislative Security Bureau Exe­cutive Director Captain Belinda Bello.

“This withdrawal, Your Honor, renders Atty. Melvin Matibag, the NBI Director, as our last witness for threat, who will be testifying this coming Tuesday (July 21),” ani Luistro.

Ang ikaapat na Article of Impeachment ay nag-aakusa kay VP Duterte ng paglabag sa Konstitusyon, betrayal of public thrust at high crimes sa ‘assassination threat’.

Una nang iprinisinta ng prosecution sina NBI Senior agent John Mark Calilung at NBI-BARMM Director Jeremy Lotoc. Si Calilung ang nag-au­thenticate sa video recordings ni VP Duterte habang si Lotoc ang nag-imbestiga at nag-analisa sa ‘assassination threat.
