FL launches rice drive in Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines — First Lady Liza Marcos led the rollout of a rice distribution campaign in Quezon City yesterday.

Residents of Barangay Doña Imelda received sacks of rice.

Marcos was joined by Metro Manila Council president and San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte and other local officials.

Zamora assured the public that the government’s free rice program would continue nationwide.

The initiative is being implemented simultaneously in cities and municipalities across the country through the Local Government Support Fund.
