Baligod,18 ‘bodyguards’ ni Co kinasuhan ng libel, cyberlibel
MANILA, Philippines — Naghain na si Manila Rep. Bienvenido Abante Jr. ng mga kasong libel at cyber libel laban kay Atty. Levito Baligod at sa 18 dating bodyguards ni dating AKO Bicol Party-list Rep. Elizaldy “Zaldy” Co.
Nagtungo si Abante sa Manila City Hall kahapon upang sampahan ng naturang mga kaso ang mga nabanggit na indibiduwal kasunod ng akusasyon nila na tumanggap siya ng mga maleta ng pera noong 19th Congress.
Mariin ding pinabulaanan ni Abante ang akusasyon at sinabing mali ito at walang basehan.
“For the record, I vehemently deny the incorrect, baseless, and/or misleading allegations made by the complainants in the Libelous Salaysay distributed and made known to the media and public during the Libelous Press Conference, and thereafter published on respondent DWSI’s Facebook page through the Libelous Post,” pahayag pa ni Abante.
Iginiit ni Abante na hindi niya kilala at ni hindi pa niya nakikita ang mga naturang dating bodyguard ni Co.
“For the record, I have never dealt with or ever seen any of the 18 Marine Respondents. I have no dealings with regard to deliveries of money from former representative Zaldy Co,” ani Abante.
