3 OFWs injured in Kuwait recovering

MANILA, Philippines — Three overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are now recovering after sustaining injuries during a drone and missile strike at Kuwait International Airport Terminal 1 on June 3, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said.
According to Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac, one of the OFWs was confined to a hospital due to smoke inhalation but has since been discharged after treatment. Two others were treated on an outpatient basis.
“One of them was probably the most serious case, but still minor under the circumstances. She sustained injuries to her scalp and arm and required stitches, but she is now completely fine and has already been discharged,” Cacdac said.
DMW also confirmed that no Filipino fatalities were recorded in the incident.
The DMW said its Migrant Workers Office in Kuwait continues to monitor the condition of the affected workers and is providing necessary assistance as they recover.
