Kulong ng COS ni VP Sara pinalawig pa ng 5 araw
MANILA, Philippines — Pinalawig pa ng 5 araw ang pagkakakulong ni Atty. Zuleika Lopez, chief of staff ni Vice President Sara Duterte matapos itong mapagkasunduan ng mga miyembro ng House Blue Ribbon panel nitong Lunes.
“In view of what happened during the last two days or so, I would like to consider to move for a reconsideration of our resolution. In so far as it’s limited the period of detention of Attorney Lopez be 10 days instead of 5 days,” ayon kay House Deputy Minority Leader France Castro na sinegundahan ng mga miyembro ng panel.
Si Lopez ay kasalukuyang nasa Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) sa Quezon City matapos dumanas ng panic attack at magsuka nang mag-hysteria noong Sabado nang tutulan ang ‘transfer order’ sa Correctional Institute for Women (CIW) sa Mandaluyong City.
Una nang pinatawan ng contempt si Lopez dahil sa misinterpretasyon at pag-iwas na sagutin ang katanungan ng mga mambabatas sa paggasta ng P612.5 milyong confidential fund ng Office of the Vice President at DepEd na dating pinamumunuan ni VP Sara.
