“In view of the increasing OSAEC (Online Sexual Abuse of Exploitation of Children) cases and other threats to the welfare of children in the Philippines... it is imperative to ensure a whole-of-nation approach in strengthening existing institutional and legal framework on child protection,” nakasaad sa EO.

Pamumunuan ang POCP ng Presidential Adviser for Child Protection (PACP)at pangangasiwaan ng Special Assistant to the President (SAP).

Magiging miyembro naman ng POCP National Coordination Center, Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT), Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC), National Council Against Child Labor (NCACL)at Committee for the Special Protection of Children (CSPC).
