"The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) reports all thirteen (13) Filipino crew members and one Ukrainian seaman onboard a vessel attacked by Houthi rebels Tuesday, 28 May 2024, are safe," sabi ng kagawaran ngayong Miyerkules.

"The DMW was informed by the shipping company’s local manning agency (LMA) that the vessel, a bulk carrier, sustained some damage from four missiles launched by Houthi rebels as the ship was traversing the Yemeni coast near Hodeidah late yesterday afternoon (Manila time)."

"The DMW is also contacting the crew members' families to provide any assistance they may need," patuloy ng DMW.

"The manning agency has also informed the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), an attached agency of the DMW, of the incident."
