SM Prime at UPLB, naglunsad ng scholarship program
MANILA, Philippines — Naglunsad ng isang scholarship program ang leading integrated property developer na SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SM Prime), katuwang ang University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), upang palakasin pa ang kanilang commitment sa educational access at sustainability stewardship.
Nagsilbing inspirasyon ng SM Prime sa paglulunsad ng ‘SM Sustainability Scholarship,’ ang paniniwala ng yumaong si Henry Sy Sr. sa kapangyarihan ng edukasyon. Nagpapakita rin ito sa commitment ng SM Prime sa educational access at sustainability stewardship.
Sa ilalim ng programa, 10 karapat-dapat na estudyante ng UPLB ang tutulungan sa kanilang undergraduate studies at pagkakalooban ng pagkakataon upang maipagpatuloy ang kanilang degrees sa Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology o di kaya ay sa Bachelor of Science in Forestry.
Ang mga scholarship recipients, na pormal nang kinilala sa isang meet-and-greet gathering sa UPLB, ay metikulosong pinili dahil sa kanilang academic excellence at dedikasyon sa sustainability, ay tatanggap ng full scholarship kasama ang tuition fees, monthly living allowance, at maging book allowance, upang masigurong nakapokus sila sa kanilang pag-aaral nang walang problemang pang-pinansiyal.
Sa naturang pagtitipon, pinasalamatan naman nina College of Human Ecology (CHE) Dean Dr. Jennifer Amparo at College of Forestry and Natural Resources Dean, Dr. Marlo Mendoza ang SM Prime sa pagbibigay ng scholarship sa mga naturang estudyante.
