Partido Reporma founder Lacson pa rin ieendorso kahit grupo maka-Robredo na
MANILA, Philippines — Paninindigan ni Partido Reporma chairperson emeritus at founder na si Renato de Villa ang pag-endorso sa presidential candidacy ni Sen. Panfilo Lacson — ito'y kahit nag-jump ship na ang grupo sa kampo ni Bise Presidente Leni Robredo.
Huwebes nang magbitiw si Lacson bilang chair at miyembro ng partido matapos ianunsyo ng kanilang party president na si Pantaleon Alvarez na ililipat na nila ang suporta kay VP Leni.
"For my part as Chaiman Emeritus of the new Partido Reporma, I must admit that I was taken by surprise on the events yesterday as I had no inking that such an unfortunate scenario would happen to our new party. Obviously, I cannot do anything about it anymore," ani De Villa, Biyernes.
"As an original [endorser] of Sen Ping Lacson for President, let me further say: I will stick with Ping and continue to [endorse] and support him. Like a true soldier in combat, I hope that those fighting for him in this political battle will continue the fight and not leave him behind."
Kahapon lang nang sabihin nina Alvarez na si Lacson talaga ang "pinaka-qualified" at "ideal" maging presidente sa mga kandidato, ngunit malayo raw sa ideyal ang mga kondisyon dahil sa surveys. Aniya, mas realistikong option si Robredo kung nais magtulak ng reporma at gapiin ang "anak ng diktador" na si Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

Sa kabila nito, iginiit ni Lacson kanina na humihingi raw ng P800 milyong additional funding ang chief of staff ni Alvarez para sa local party candidates ng Partido Reporma. Ito raw ang dahilan kung bakit siya iniwan sa ere 'di malaon.
"I consider both Ping and Bebot as mature politicians and capable of making decisions based on personal conviction," patuloy ni De Villa.
"As to my position at hand, let me say this: vote for the Presidential candidate of your choice, and consider it as your contribution to the establishment of an honest and competent goverment that can bring about a better future for our beloved country."
Una na ring nagbitiw sa Partido Reporma ang dati nilang tagapagsalita na si Ashley Acedillo kasama ng chairperson ng partido sa Cavite na si Rafael Rodriguez. Pareho nilang susuportahan ang kandidatura ni Lacson.
Robredo camp: Hindi kami nagbigay ng P800-M sa partido
Itinatanggi naman ni Barry Gutierrez, tagapagsalita ni Robredo, na hindi sila nagbigay ng P800 milyon sa kahit na sino para makuha ang suporta nina Alvarez.
Aniya, naniniwala silang kampante ang Partido Reporma sa kakayahan nilang magbigay ng pagbabago para sa mga Pilipino.
"Our campaign thrives on initiative and volunteerism, and we certainly do not have 800M pesos to give away to anyone," sabi niya kanina.

Partido Reporma para kay Pacman?
Hindi naman nagpaapekto si presidential candidate Sen. Manny Pacquiao sa desisyon ng Partido Reporma at mga miyembro nito sa Davao del Norte na suportahan si Robredo — kumpiyansa raw kasi siyang lilipat din daw ito sa kanya.
"Ah, taga-Mindanao [kami nina Alvarez] at siyempre, sino ba naman ang magtutulungan?" wika niya habang nangangampanya sa probinsya ng Isabela nang matanong sa isang artikulo ng ABS-CBN News.
"Tuloy naman ang Senator Ping at Tito Sen. Nakausap ko sila. At kung anuman ang desisyon nila, ako din naman ang unang makakaalam. Kasi maganda naman yung paguusap namin at iisa lang kami."
