Pilipinas may bagong protesta vs Chinese Coast Guard sa Panatag Shoal
MANILA, Philippines — Nagpakawala ng panibagong diplomatic protests ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa mga aksyon kamakailan ng mga Tsino sa Panatag Shoal (kilala ring Bajo de Masinloc o Scarborough Shoal), pati na rin sa matagalang pangingisda at presensya nila sa maritime zones ng Pilipinas.
Ika-24 hanggang ika-25 ng Abril kasi nang harangin at paghahamunin ng Chinese Coast Guard (CCG) ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) na nagsasanay at nag-iikot noon sa lugar.
"The [DFA] has protested the shadowing, blocking, dangerous maneauver and radio challenges by the [CCG] of [PCG] vessels conducting legitimate maritime patrols and training excercises in the vicinity of Bajo de Masinloc on 24 to 25 April 2021," sabi ng kagawaran, Lunes.
"It has also protested the incessant, illegal, prolonged and increasing presence of Chinese fishing vessels and maritime militia vessels in Philippine maritime zones."

Panghihimasok ng Tsina ngayong 2021
Mula ika-1 ng Enero hanggang ika-18 ng Marso 2021, daan-daan nang sasakyang Tsino ang namataan sa West Philippine Sea, partikular sa:
- Pag-asa Islands
- Zamora Reef
- Panata Island
- Kota Island
- Ayungin Shoal
- Quirino Atoll
- Bajo de Masinloc
Naninindigan ang DFA at Philippine maritime law enforcement agencies na "unauthorized" ang pamamalagi ng mga nasabing sasakyakyang pandagat sa mga naturang lugar. Taong 2016 nang paboran ng Permanent Court of Arbitration ang Pilipinas pagdating sa exclusive economic zone (EEZ) ng West Philippine Sea.
Banggaang DFA vs Wang
Inilabas ng DFA ang statement ilang araw matapos igiit ni Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin ang "soberanya" ng Beijing sa mga maliliit na isla at land features sa West Philippine Sea, habang ipinatitigil sa Maynila ang mga aktibidades nito sa katubigang hitik sa likas-yaman.
Hindi pinalampas ng DFA ang statements na 'yan ni Wang at idiniing walang batayan ang Tsina sa kanilang mga aksyon sa ilalim ng international law. Hindi rin daw kinikilala ng international community ang naturang posisyon.
"China has no law enforcement rights in these areas. The presence of Chinese Coast Guard vessels in the Philippines' territorial waters of Pag-asa Islands and Bajo de Masinloc, and exclusive economic zone, raises serious concern. The unauthorized and lingering presence of these vessels is a blatant infringement of Philippine sovereignty," dagdag pa ng gobyerno.
"The Philippines calls on China to withdraw its government vessels around the [Kalayaan Island Group] and Bajo de Masinloc and respect Philippine sovereignty."
