"I'll probably be competing twice a year, defending whatever needs to be defended, [do] whatever to keep ours ours, 'di ba?" sabi ni Vera.

"[U]nless... [I'm] doing a movie, then it's once every two years," banggit niya.

"So whether it be at light heavyweight or at heavyweight, I will defend either one just as proud. Sa atin din 'yun eh. It's not like one means more than the other. So bahala na. Whatever they ask, whatever they want.

"Everyday. Some days, two hours. Some day, six hours. It just depends on the day, it depends on my coach, it depends on my body. If I go hard, 'di ba, this week I could go hard [for] four days in a row. Walang problema. Six hours a day, no problem," wika ni Vera.

"It might not look like it because I move a lot."

"Heavyweights will still be in my corner, will still be in my training camp because nobody punches and kicks like heavyweights, 'di ba?

"He's a monster now. He's throwing head kicks, throwing rib shots. He broke Ken's [Hasegawa] ribs with kicks. So I'm very excited and very impressed."

"I should pay attention for what I am eating now. And being Pinoy, mahirap na nga 'yon eh. I already don't eat the taba on the lechon, I don't eat the balat ng lechon, now you're telling me I just can't eat the karne ng lechon? Like, I cannot eat anything from the lechon?" ani Vera.

"Sanayan din, itong trabaho natin. This is what we wanna do, and pangarap ko talaga is to become a double title holder," sabi niya.
