Panelo: Duterte mananalo pa ring presidente 'kahit walang social media'

"The overwhelming majority that voted him into office, I don't think they have Facebook accounts and whatever. These are the masses," paliwanag ng tagapagsalita.

"His time was just right. The Filipino people needed somebody like him. And his entry was just the appropriate time," sabi ni Panelo, na presidential legal counsel din ni Digong.

"No. I do not think so. No. I said the president has nothing to do with that. And we will not allow that," kanyang panapos.

"There is a reason for me to suspect that they pulled down pages and groups associated with the president and the candidates of the president because they thought it will weaken the support base and also diminish the chances of pro-admin candidates," sabi ng communications strategist.

"I have a feeling that I was singled out whereas the pro-opposition pages were not. There are pages Like Pinoy Ako Blog, Changescamming, Now You Know, to name a few who are anti-Duterte that are quite vicious," dagdag niya.

"Before, FB automatically makes anybody a part of the group without asking. Now one has to give/confirm consent. My name is in a lot of pages and groups. This may be the reason why some pages, and groups, after they examined saw my name there," paliwanag niya.

"What we saw is this cluster of these pages, groups and accounts – a combination of authentic and fake accounts – that were basically being used to drive messaging on behalf of and related to political candidates. They were designed to look independent, but in fact they are working together," sabi ni Gleicher sa isang press briefing sa Taguig.

"The core hook here is that these groups are using fake accounts. In this context, it’s not just the use of fake accounts, it’s the use of fake accounts in an organized fashion along with groups and pages and other assets to mislead people about the origin of the content they are sharing," dagdag niya. — James Relativo
