Graft vs Puerto Princesa mayor sa Ombudsman
MANILA, Philippines – Kinasuhan ng graft sa Ombudsman si Puerto Princesa City Mayor Lucilo Bayron dahil umano sa pagpasok sa kontrata na walang basbas ng konseho.
Bukod kay Mayor Bayron ay sinampahan din ng graft charges ang broadcaster na si Elgin Robert Damasco. Sinampahan din ang mga ito ng criminal at administrative charges.
Ang naghain ng reklamo ay si Samuel Agustin Galario na isang private citizen mula sa barangay San Miguel, Puerto Princesa City.
Sa 11-pahinang reklamo ni Galario, inakusahan nito si Bayron na pumasok sa isang radio broadcast contract noong April 4, 2014 kay Damasco na may-ari ng Damasco Advertising and Production Agency na walang approval ng city council.
“In the case at bar, Bayron’s act of entering into a contract in behalf of the City Government of Puerto Princesa City is without any authority from the Sangguniang Panglungsod of Puerto Princesa City, thereby, causing undue injury in the amount of P54,000, considering that the cost thereof was paid by public funds,” nakasaad pa sa reklamo ni Galario.
