Sin Tax bill ng Senado, ibinasura ng Palasyo

MANILA, Philippines - Ibinasura ng Malacañang ang bersyon ng Senado ukol sa Sin Tax bill na iniakda pa ng kaalyado ni Pangulong Benigno Aquino III na si Sen. Ralph Recto.

Sinabi ni Presidential Communications Group Sec. Ricky Carandang, hindi suportado ng Palasyo ang bersyon ni Sen. Recto ukol sa sin tax bill.

Ayon kay Carandang, ang nais ng Palasyo ay makalikom ng P36 bilyon mula sa sin tax kada taon.

“We thank Sen. Recto  for his effort but the se­nate version of the bill fails short of what we need to fund the health programs we envisioned. We hope this can be remedied,” wika pa ni Carandang.

Idinagdag pa nito, ‘the version we support would have raised about P36 billion a year”.
