MANILA, Philippines - Mayroong 90 araw si Pangulong Aquino upang magtalaga ng bagong punong mahistrado matapos ma-convict si Chief Justice Renato Corona ng impeachment court kahapon sa botong 20-3.
Sinabi ni Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte, awtomatikong magiging bakante ang puwesto ng chief justice at sa ilalim ng batas ay mayroong 90 araw ang Pangulo upang pumili ng papalit kay Corona.
“Well, under the Constitution the President has 90 days, if I’m not mistaken to appoint the next Chief Justice of the Supreme Court,” wika ni Valte.
