PCSO nag-donate ng P2.5M equipment sa PGH

MANILA, Philippines - Nag-donate ang Philippine Charity Sweepstake’s Office (PCSO) ng P2.5 milyong halaga ng medical equipment sa Philippine General Hospital (PGH) nitong February 17 bilang bahagi ng pagbibigay serbisyo nito para sa mahihirap.

Tinanggap ng A­nesthesiology Department ang naturang medical equipment na isang portable video laryngoscope na nagkakahalaga ng P1.738 million at isang portable brain monitor na P850,000.

Pinangunahan ni PCSO chairperson Margarita Juico ang turnover ceremony kay PGH director Dr. Jose Gonzales matapos lumagda sa isang kasunduan sa pagitan ng dalawang ahensiya. 

Sinaksihan ito nina PCSO’s general manager Atty. Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II, director Atty. Francisco Joaquin, Dr Bernardo Gochoco special project department manager at PGH Dr. Loreto Fellizar chair ng anesthesiology department.

Naniniwala si Dr. Gonzales na sa makabagong kagamitan ay higit pang mapapabuti ang serbisyo ng PGH na nagsisilbi sa may 3,000 pasyente kada araw kung saan 90% sa kanila ay mahihirap.

Ang top-of-the-line equipment ay gagamitin para sa in-house diagnostic services gayundin para sa emergency medical services tulad ng medical outreach programs at integrated social-welfare programs. Libre itong magagamit ng mga kapuspalad na pasyente.
