John Hay developer umapela sa BCDA na huwag ituloy ang takeover

MANILA, Philippines - Umaapela ang Camp John Hay Development Corporation (CJHDevCo) sa Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) at John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) sa plano nitong take over sa ibat ibang establishment at sa administrative offices ng CJHDevCo.

Ayon sa source, plano ng BCDA at JHMC na itake-over ang pamamahala sa Camp John Hay Golf Club, Manol Hotel, John Hay Suites Hotel pati ang administrative offices ng CJHDevCo gayundin ang ibat ibang key utilities at facilities sa loob ng Camp John Hay.

Plano daw itong gawin ng BCDA at JHMC dahil sa patuloy na pagtutol ng CJHDevCo na bayaran ang rentals at obligations nitong umaabot ng P581.5 milyon.

Naunang naghain ng reklamo ang CJHDevCo sa BCDA upang igalang nito ang nakasaad sa Restructuring Memorandum of Agreement (RMOA) particular sa pagtatayo ng “One Stop Action Center”.

Ayon naman kay Alfredo Yniguez III, EVP at chief operating officer ng CJHDevCo, may natanggap silang ulat na plano ng BCDA at CJMC ang pagpapatupad ng ‘illegal physical takeover’ kahit walang court order at napansin na din nila ang dagdag na security personnel tulad ng nangyari noon sa Poro Point.

“If, in fact, these relia­ble reports are true, we hope that BCDA would respect the Rule of Law and CJHDevCo would like to request for sobriety. We request them (BCDA officials) to meet us in the court of law and settle this in an amicable and civilized manner,” wika pa ng CJHDevCo.

Humingi na din ng tulong ang CJHDevCo kay Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan upang maiwasan ang anumang kaguluhan sa planong takeover na ito ng BCDA at CJHMC.
