Fraport, PIATCO kinasuhan sa DOJ

Ipinagharap ng kasong kriminal sa Department of Justice ang mga opisyal ng Fraport AG of Germany, Philippine International Air Terminal Corporation (PIATCO) at 4 pang kumpanya na may kaugnayan sa pagbibigay serbisyo sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Isinampa ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sa DOJ ang kasong paglabag sa Anti-Dummy law laban sa mga opisyal ng Fraport AG, PIATCO, Philippine Airport and Ground Services, Philippine Airport and Ground Services Terminal Inc., Philippine Airport and Ground Services Terminal Holdings Inc. at Peoples Air Cargo and Warehouse Co. Inc.

Inirekomenda ni Atty. Victor Bessat, NBI deputy director for special investigation services, ang paghahain ng kaso laban kina Cheng Yong ng PIATCO, Peter Henkel ng Fraport AG, Jason Cheng, Jefferson Cheng, Rita Bonifer, S. Samin Aydin, Lilia Cheng, Hachiman Yokoi, Gil Camacho, Katherine Agnes Arnaldo, Jong Seyffart, Marife Opulencia, Mary Antonette Manalo, Ricardo Castro Jr., Hans Arthur Vergel, Dietrich F.R. Stiller at Noemi Dacanay.

Natuklasan ng NBI na mayroong pare-parehong opisyal at director ang nasabing mga kumpanya maliban sa Fraport at PIATCO.

Ang nagreklamo ay si Melanio Elvis Balayan, convenor at executive director ng Concerned Lawyers for Moral and Effective Leadership (CLAMOR) dahil sa paglabag ng mga ito sa anti-dummy law at Foreign Investment Act of 1991. (Grace dela Cruz)
