PNP: Harry Roque still in Philippines

MANILA, Philippines —  Harry Roque is still in the country, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said yesterday, as the manhunt for the former presidential spokesman intensified following an arrest order issued by the quad committee of the House of Representatives.

There is no indication that Roque has left the country, based on the PNP’s coordination with the Bureau of Immigration, PNP public information officer Col. Jean Fajardo said at a briefing at Camp Crame.

Tracker teams led by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group have intensified manhunt operations against Roque, who refused to comply with the House quad committee’s directive.

Roque continues to lambast the House’s arrest order on Facebook.

Fajardo urged Roque to reconsider his decision to evade arrest.
