Canyoneering sa Ginatilan ug Malabuyoc gisuspenso

CEBU, Philippines —  Temporaryong gisuspenso sa Kapitolyo ang kalihokan sa canyoneering sa Lungsod sa Ginatilan ug Malabuyoc sa habagatang Sugbo.

Si Gobernador Gwendolyn Garcia nimando sa temporaryong pagpahunong sa operasyon sa canyoneering sa maong mga lungsod pinaagi sa iyang giluwat nga Executive Order (EO) No. 21.

Ubos sa maong EO gitumbok ni Garcia ang safety concerns o kaluwasan sa mga bisita human nga nakadawat ang Kapitolyo og taho sa giingong un-credited nga operators ug wala ma-train nga guides nga nakapadelikado ug naghatag og risgo sa pagpahigayon sa maong extreme activity.

“There is an urgent need to temporarily close and suspend canyoneering activities in these municipalities pending: (1) the required specialized training and accreditation for tour guides; and (2) the enactment of appropriate local ordinances and rules regulating such activities, to ensure the safety and well-being of the touring public”, tipik sa EO ni Garcia. Ang kamandoan ni Garcia epektibo kini kagahapon ug wala pay giluwatan nga pamahayag hangtud kanos-a kini malibkas.

“Any injury or mishap resulting from the gross neglect of the possible dangers that Un-qualified canyoneering tour guides may cause to the public would definitely adversely affect the tourism industry of Cebu”, dugang ni Garcia.
