Pilipinas nakakuha na sa 2M mark international arrivals

CEBU, Philippines —  Nakakuha na ang Pilipinas og 2 million mark nga international arrivals nga nilapas sa  baseline target sa Department of Tourism alang sa tuig 2022.

Sayo pa, si Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco nibutyag niini atol sa usa ka forum didto sa Makati City.

Sa labing ulahi nga datos sa  Department of Tourism (DOT)  gibutyag ni Frasco nga ang nasud adunay  2,002,304 international visitor arrivals gikan sa Enero 1 ngadto sa  Mayo 12, 2023  ug nilapas na kini sa  target  alang sa 2022 nga  1.7 million foreign visitors.

“Notwithstanding our challenges and difficulties that our country has faced, a pandemic and the various calamities that come into our shores tha good news is that this is done nothing to break the Filipino spirit or to diminish the beauty of the Philippines”, matud ni Frasco.

Ang South Korea adunay labing daghan nga na-deliver ug nakabisita dinhi sa Pilipinas diin sa maong period niabot ngadto sa 487, 502 (24.35%) ang nabisita gikan sa nahisgutang nasud gisundan sa United States of America nga adunay 352, 894 (17.62%);  Australia nga adunay 102, 494 (5.12%); Canada, 98, 593 (4.92%); ug Japan,  97, 329 (4.86%) ka mga bisita.

Nasulod usab sa top 10 ang China nga adunay 75,043; Taiwan, 62,654; United Kingdom, 62,291; Singapore, 53,359; ug  Malaysia, 36,789.
