"There were four of them who were injured by the bombing, and all of them were seriously injured," DFA Spokesperson Charles Jose said in an interview with ABS-CBN News Channel.

Jose added that the victims were sent to a local hospital but one of them died due to injuries.

The DFA reiterated its call to the remaining OFWs in war-torn Libya to return home to the Philippines.

"Right now, because of the worsening situation there, we are intensifying our campaign to encourage our OFWs there to leave Libya and come back to the Philippines," Jose said.

The Philippine government had been calling on the OFWs in Libya to avail its mandatory repatriation program since crisis alert level 4 was raised in the country last July 2014.

"The repatriation is a continuing process. As long as there are Filipinos who signify their intention to come back, we make arrangements for them," the DFA official said.

Meanwhile, the Philippine government is still trying to locate the whereabouts of eight Filipinos who have been captured on different occasions in Libya since January.
