2 Filipinas nabbed in HK for carrying shabu

MANILA, Philippines - Two Filipino women have been arrested in Hong Kong for their attempt to smuggle 14.5 kilos or methampetamine hydrochloride or shabu valued at $1.4 million, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed on Tuesday.
DFA Spokesman Raul Hernandez said the two were arrested last July 28 at the Hong Kong International airport. They are set to face their charges when the hearing starts in October.
The government said it is willing to extend its assistance to the arrested women.
