MANILA, Philippines — The Benedicto College (BC) Cheetahs will try to extend their unbeaten streak as they clash with the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Panthers in the resumption of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) Season 24 basketball tournament today (Tuesday, November 5) at the Cebu Coliseum.

Under the guidance of coach BJ Murillo, the Cheetahs are enjoying their best 3-0 start since joining the league last year.

That vaulted them to solo third place in college division standings behind the 5-0 University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters and the 5-1 University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers.

The Cheetahs aim to make it four games in a row when they tackle the Panthers at 6:45 p.m.

The Panthers are currently at joint fifth and sixth spots with the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Wildcats on identical 2-3 win-loss records.

In high school category, the CIT-U Baby Wildcats hope to enhance their slim Final Four chances as they battle against the BC Baby Cheetahs in the 5:15 p.m. opener.

The Baby Wildcats hold a 4-3 slate in a tie with the Baby Panthers, while the Baby Cheetahs are already out of contention with only one victory in eight games. — (FREEMAN)
