IMF lowers forecasts for French economy for next two years

PARIS (Xinhua) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesday lowered its forecasts for the French economy in 2013 and 2014.
The organisation said France's gross domestic product (GDP) would contract by 0.2 percent this year and grow by 0.8 percent in 2014.
The IMF predicted previously that French economy would see a 0.1 percent contraction in 2013 and a 0.9 percent growth next year.
