BEIJING (AP) — A container ship has sunk off the east coast of China, killing at least 11 crew members and leaving two missing. One man has been rescued by helicopter.

Rescue officials in the city of Yantai in Shangdong province say the ship, named Guangyangxingang, capsized Monday evening amid strong winds, northeast of Longkou in Shandong. They say two rescue vessels and a helicopter were searching for the missing crew members Tuesday.

The ship was travelling from the northern coastal city of Tianjin to the city of Taizhou in Zhejiang province.
