Farmer groups on Thursday asked the Supreme Court (SC) to declare “null and void” and unconstitutional the executive order reducing and modifying tariff rates on rice and other agricultural products. 

Farmers’ groups will troop to the Supreme Court today to seek a halt to the implementation of Executive Order 62 on the 15 percent reduced tariff on imported rice, expected to take effect on July 6.
