Grace Poe vows more Comelec budget for IT, if elected

MANILA, Philippines - Senatorial candidate Grace Poe Llamanzares expressed her plan to increase the budget of government agencies for information technologies once she is elected.

"It's important to have IT knowledge, it's important to increase every government agency's IT capability," Poe said, adding that she encountered this issue during her stint as chair of the Movie and Television Ratings and Classification Board.

Poe said in this exclusive interview with Philstar.com that MTRCB had to raise funding to improve its official website and establish its online presence.

Running under the banner of Team Pnoy slate, Poe also discussed her views on having a national broadband and related technologies.
