National Arts celebration goes nationwide

MANILA, Philippines — Aside from Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day and EDSA Revolution, the month of February is also National Arts month. Dubbed as Philippine International Arts Festival (PIAF), the month-long celebration aims to encourage Filipinos to put more value to local arts and culture.

Featuring seven arts, namely architecture, cinema, dance, literature, music, theater and visual arts, the festival will showcase nationwide workshops, exhibitions, forums and performances from local and international artists. To kick-off the National Arts month is a grand celebration at Rizal Park in Manila on January 30.
