LTO-Jagna district office to be closed temporarily

TAGBILARAN CITY, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) district office in Jagna, Bohol will be closed temporarily, according to LTO-7 Regional Director Victor Emmanuel Caindec.

But the good news is that drug tests may no longer be required in Central Visayas for securing driver’s license following the lifting of the court injunction, Caindec said, but added that he is still waiting for copies of the court decision before LTO could order to stop the drug test.

On when the LTO-Jagna will stop its operation, Caindec did not specify, except by saying that the lot where the LTO now occupies will be used by Land Bank of the Philippines.

LTO is now making arrangement with Jagna town Mayor Becbec Abrenilla, who earlier said the local government is willing to donate 1,000-square-meter lot where the LTO could build its own building, Caindec said.

Caindec assured the public that LTO is addressing the mounting complaints from the public, saying that it already purchased two air-conditioner units for its office in Bohol, and that the LTO has been working to end the backlog of processing licenses.
