TACLOBAN CITY — The town of Calubian in Leyte has a new municipal councilor, the governor’s office announced to the media yesterday.
Governor Leopoldo Dominico Petilla told The Freeman that he administered the oath taking, at his office, the newly appointed Councilor Fernando Halichic in the presence of Calubian Mayor Doroteo Napalit Palconit.
Halichic was named to take over the post vacated by the late Councilor Renato Abenir, who passed away from a lingering illness recently, Petilla added.
